Dragonicorn
Here’s the account of Ello and Crianne,
He’s a flightless dragon from Spokane.
She’s a regal unicorn, a foreign born.
They fell in love at the university,
While studying adult biodiversity.
He adored her so,
She only had eyes for her beau,
Being a good lad he went to see her Ma and Dad,
They resoundingly told him neigh,
His heart fell deep into dismay.
Although they cherish him as a son,
It just wouldn’t, couldn’t be done.
There’s a vow for her to wed a Tamarao.
For long before she was born,
She was promised to Count Buckhorn.
They all went to visit the Count,
Who in turn is interested in a pixie Catamount.
The conclusion: cancel the predetermined union.
Everyone should love and marry,
Who in their heart they do carry.
With her head covered in cuckoo bread,
The Dragon and the Unicorn did wed.
Upon this spot they tied the knot.
Eleven months later they had a boy,
Half Dragon; half unicorn; all joy.
