To get to this one, leave Shaldon with the river to your right. You go past the George V playing fields which used to be the site of a boat yard, but when they stopped dredging the Teign the river wasn’t deep enough to support this sort of activity. GZ can be reached by walking along the beach / mud flat if the tide is low enough or along the path and then road up to Ringmore Towers. From here you can look down the estuary to Dartmoor - if the weather is clear. Look across the river, you may get to see a train going by.
