O quê?
Fugindo um pouco á tradição dos eventos compostos de uma boa
refeição, convívio, suborno, tortura, plágio descarado de eventos,
troca massiva de travelbugs e demonstração de técnicas e gadgets,
eis o mais um evento "oficial" que desta vez não nos reunirá à hora
de almoço...
O Objectivo é apenas o convivio aproveitando para celebrar uma data
especial que só se repetirá daqui a 100 anos, 08/08/08.

What?
Escaping from our tradition of events composed by a good meal,
socialize, bribery, torture, event plagiarism, massive exchange of
travelbugs, gadgets and technique demonstrations, here´s
another "official" event that this time will not be at
lunchtime.
The purpose is to celebrate a special date that will only occur 100
years from now, 08/08/08.
(Dont listen, it´s all there. It´s just not at
lunchtime)

Todos os geocachers interessados (veteranos, novatos, potenciais e
indecisos), família e amigos.
Who?
Every interested geocachers (veterans, newcomers, potential e
undecided), family and friends.
Quando?
Dia 08/08/08, Sexta-feira, das 05h00PM ás 08h08 PM.
Decidimos este horário porque assim permitimos que os geocachers
que se deslocam para fora possam comparecer sem grandes
constrangimentos de horários. Os que ficam podem sempre juntar-se
ao tradicional Geo-Meetup mensal e partir daqui para uma grande
cachada noturna pois certamente a noite estará agradável.
(Mas a grande razão foi mesmo porque tinhamos que
colocar um 0808 algures!)
When?
The day is 08/08/08, Friday, from 05h00PM untill 08h08PM.
This schedule was defined because it allows all geocachers going
away for the weekend to get by without major shedule problems. The
ones staying around Lisbon can always join the traditional monthly
Geo-Meetup and get together for some night caching. It will
certainly be a pleasant night
(But the main resason was becauase we had to place
the 0808 somewhere!)

Que melhor lugar para esta data que o recinto da saudosa Expo 98
quando passam quase 10 anos da sua abertura ao publico? Será um
regresso ao local que há 10 anos era descrito como o Futuro da
cidade de Lisboa.
O local será na explanada do
Havana, o primeiro quando se entra na Rª do
Bojador vindo de Norte, logo ao lado do Parque de Estacionamento da
Torre Vasco da Gama, no Parque das Nações atrás da FIL. De qualquer
maneira, seremos fáceis de reconhecer pois somos os malucos com os
GPS, TB´s e Geocoins em cima das mesas.
Where?
What better place for this date than the site where the World
Exhibition, Expo 98 was held 10 years ago? We will be back to a
place that 10 years ago was described as the future of the city of
Lisbon.
The place will be on the
Havana explanade. It´s the first bar on the
Bojador Street (coming from North) righ beside the parking lot near
the vasco da Gama tower. It´s behind the FIL (Lisbon Internationa
Fair). We should be easy to find. In the explanades we will be the
Guys with the GPS, TB´s and Geocoins on the table.

the geocoin (only 100 made) please mail me trough my profile
so i can reserve them for you. Foreign geocachers are welcome
to mail me, but, only after the event i will sell the coins
that remain. If you´re seeking one of this coins please post a
note in the event and maybe there´s someone interested in do
some trades.
