Geocache Description:

WWFM III Altamonte Springs

The World Wide Flash Mob Caching Event III

1:00pm Saturday May 10th,2008

The Basic Idea:
A "Flash Mob" Gathering of Geocachers. Only 15 minutes long! You MUST
be present and sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim the event.
Please BYOP! (Bring your own pen[cil])

The World Wide Flash Mob Event: Dozens of events all around
the world, coordinated to happen at the same time to bring together geocachers and introduce others to the geocaching. You're heard of MEGA-EVENTS? This is quite the opposite in a variety of ways. FLASH MOBS have gathered for other reasons. Come be part of this historic event.

The event will begin precisely at 1:00 PM EDT on May 10, 2008. The event will
be held at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs at the coordinates listed
above. A minute by minute itinerary is listed below and will also be distributed
at the event.

The Plan:
At exactly 1:00pm (as determined by the GPS clock), we will place a large lock-n-lock
at the coordinates. At this point, all geocachers will converge, seeming to
come out of "nowhere". One volunteer will hand out "log sheets"
that will double as door prize entries. Participants must sign the log sheets
(which will later become a log book) to qualify for attendance. If any muggles
are curious about the event we will have a volunteer hand out fliers that explain
geocaching.

Itinerary (subject to change):
1:00pm :: We emerge from our vehicles and gather around The Meeting Cache.
1:01pm :: Log book entries (along with this itinerary & post-event plans)
will be distributed.
1:06pm :: Snacks will be distributed to all in attendance for the event "meal".
1:08pm :: Time for the group photo!
1:11pm :: FTF honors will be awarded by luck of the draw.
1:12pm :: Door prizes awarded (including left over snacks).
1:14pm :: Final gathering - police the grounds for anything we might have accidentally
dropped.
At precisely 1:15 the event will end and the cache along with the log sheets
will be packed up and sealed away. The event area will be vacated without a
trace!
Only those participants whose names appear on the log sheets may log the event.

Tell your friends and help promote the event. We'd LOVE to have some first time
cachers here!
Parking shouldn't be a problem near the posted coordinates but just to be safe
COME EARLY and be sure not to miss the event! The difficulty rating is a 3 to
reflect how hard you'll have to resist coming early or leaving late.

Note: Although participants are welcome
to get together after the event, the event will officially be over at 1:15.
Afterwards, participants may chat, meet, eat, trade coins and travel bugs, and
plan for a day of caching, but NOT at the flash mob site.
The idea is to vacate the event area as quickly and quietly as possible. I'm
sure there will be several muggles nearby who will wonder "What did I just
see? What just happened?" (That's part of the fun!)
