Geocache Description:

This black bison tube is located in the Heritage Underpass on 1st Street SW, between 9th and 10th Avenues.

Here you will find a Canadian Pacific Railway Train sculpture that graces the walls of the tunnel. The sculpture is designed to enhance the streetscape of this important gateway to the Downtown. Right above the underpass is the train station for the Rocky Mountaineer and Royal Canadian Pacific to Banff, Vancouver and other areas of Southern Alberta.

This station also the terminal for VIA Rail when "The Canadian" used to serve Calgary decades ago.

You will find many plaques in the underpass outlining the history of the Heritage Underpass. It is quite a sight at night and even during the day as the sculpture lights up!

Note that this area is a high traffic corridor, so please be stealthy in retrieving and putting back the cache.

You don't have to go deep inside the tunnel for this one. As with most urban caches, your GPSr will be bouncing around, but you should be able to have a general idea of where the cache may be.

Congrats to One Bad Ant for the FTF, and an honorable mention to Hedgehog's Spoon for her 400th find!
