A traditional cache hidden as near to a closed Scouting campsite as we could.
This cache is our first and was hidden to remember Abel Wood Scout campsite which was Nottingham's Ashfield District campsite for 48 years. Unfortunately, the land owners decided not to renew the lease and the site was closed for camping in May 2012. Over the years thousands of young people have honed their camping and outdoor skills on this site. It will be sorely missed by all.

Easy parking is in the nearby layby dead opposite the former campsite.
**This is a busy road with grass verges only so extreme care should be taken. It is therefore, unfortunately, not suitable for young children**
