The Griffiths Crossing Station was a Station on the Menai Bridge to Afon Wen line and was opened in stages between 1852 and 1871.
In 1911 a ceremony was held in which the future King Edward VIII was invested as Prince of Wales at Caernarfon. Part of the event was a procession into the town led by King George V and Queen Mary. Griffiths Crossing was chosen as the location at which the royal party would alight. The station facilities were considered inadequate for the royal party, so temporary timber structures were erected which included an extension to the down platform and canopy. The Royal train stopped at Griffiths Crossing on 13th November 1911. After the event, the station reverted to its basic form.
The line remained busy into the 1960s, but following the closure of Caernarfon and Afon Wen section in 1964, it went into decline. In the second half of 1966 the line through the station was singled, and the former down line lifted. On 1st July 1969 Prince Charles was invested as Prince of Wales at Caernarfon, Once again it was decided that a procession would take place and that Griffiths Crossing would be the ideal location for the royal party to alight. As Griffiths Crossing had been demolished a temporary platform was built further west then the original station, where the bridge passed over into the Ferodo Factory. All services ended on the 4th January 1970. However on 23rd of May 1970 a fire on the Britannia Bridge isolated Holyhead from the railway network. Holyhead was at the time an important freightliner depot, so Caernarfon was pressed into use for freightliner services. Freightliner trains passed through Griffiths crossing until 5th February 1972. The line then closed completely and was lifted.
The site of the station was lost under a road improvement scheme but the house nearby is the old Station Master's House, and is the only evidence of a station once being here.

Cynhaliwyd seremoni yn 1911 ar gyfer y Tywysog Edward, a fyddai’n dod yn Frenin Edward VIII, a'i arwisgo yn Dywysog Cymru yng Nghaernarfon. Fel rhan o'r digwyddiad, roedd y Brenin George V a Brenhines Mary yn arwain gorymdaith i'r dref. Dewiswyd Griffiths Crossing fel lleoliad i'r Parti Brenhinol i adael y tren. Nid oedd cyfleusterau'r orsaf yn cael ei weld digonol i'r parti Brenhinol, felly adeiladwyd adeilad pren newydd a oedd yn cynnwys estyniad i'r platfform a chanopi! Cyrhaeddodd y Tren Brenhinol gorsaf Griffiths Crossing ar y 13eg o Dachwedd 1911. Ar ôl y digwyddiad, aeth yr orsaf yn ôl i'r gwreiddiol.
Roedd y lein yn brysur i mewn i'r 1960au, and ar linell Gaernarfon ac Afon Wen I gau yn 1964, aeth yn ddistawach. Yn yr ail hanner o 1966, codwyd y lein i'r de a gadael dim ond un lein yn yr orsaf.
Ar y 1af o Orffennaf 1969, gafodd y Tywysog Charles ei arwisgo yn Dywysog Cymru yng Nghaernarfon. Penderfynwyd unwaith yn rhagor i'r orymdaith adael Griffiths Crossing. Erbyn hyn, roedd adeilad yr orsaf wedi'u chwalu, felly adeiladwyd platfform dros ychydig i'r gorllewin o'r gwreiddiol, lle mae yna bont yn croesi i'r hen ffactri Ferodo. Gafodd ei ddefnyddio unwaith, ac wedyn ei dynnu! Dyma fideo o'r tren Brenhinol yn cyrraedd Griffiths crossing gyda factori Ferodo newydd yn y cefndir
Gorffennwyd pob gwasanaeth yn y Griffiths Crossing ar y 4ydd o Ionawr 1970.Fodd Bynnag, ar y 23ain o Fai 1970, buodd yna dân ar bont Britannia, ac ynysu Caergybi o'r rhwydwaith trenau. Roedd Caergybi ar y pryd yn ddepo freightliner pwysig, felly defnyddiwyd Caenarafon yn ei le a ddaeth trenau yn ôl i Griffiths Crossing dros dro. Aeth y tren freight olaf trwy Griffiths Crossing ar y 5ed o Chwefror 1972. Caewyd y llinell yn gyfangwbwl a chodwyd y trac.
