tenebrus: Time to put this listing to bed. Thank you everyone who contributed or attended or just had a great time at this event. I had meant to pick up a piñata so that we could celebrate the quinceañera, guess we'll have to just wait a year to get tiaras for the Sweet Sixteen.

Geocache Description:

One of the sport's longest running annual events, the New York Captial Region Geocachers cordially invites you to participate in a gathering of participants for good times, good friends, and a few geocaching-themed events.

We are still in the planning stages for setting up specific details, however at this time, here's what we're hoping for:

Event tent
Barbeque (grill dependent)
Poker Run
A few new kayak caches
Evil micro
Ammo can toss
Guess the number of cache containers
...TBD...

Formal start time: 9:30am

Formal end time: 4:30pm

Door prize (and possible raffle) time: 3:30pm

Please note that this is a State Park and they might impose a parking/entrance fee. Plan accordingly.

Although it is not a formal part of the event, many of the regulars plan on using the camping facilities at the park for Friday and Saturday night. I hope that anyone camping will share their site so that we can perhaps become camping neighbors. (There's even talk of a possible night hike and/or temporary cache happening.)
