Cache is hidden on beautiful secluded Marros beach. On The path, that follows the shingle banks backing Marros Sands with the sea on one side and reed beds and willows thriving in the narrow strip of land between the shingle and hill behind, forming a lush "jungle" contrasting with the beach "desert".
This cache is also part of "JuSoPirates Treasure Chest " (GC2V7YX)multicache.
Cache can be reached THREE ways:
Parking at Morfa Bychan beach:
1) take the footpath passing below a huge concrete wall of seemingly WWII vintage to climb an obvious (and steep) zigzag path back up under the shadow of the chambered cairns to the cliff top again
Passing through a kissing gate (waypoint W1), turn left onto a track which is followed for some 150-200m to a fork in the track with a waymark post.Take the left fork and gentle descent to Marros Sands. In places the going can be quite muddy where streams have colonised the path, even in dry weather.
2)Low tide way. Can be only done within 2,5 Hours before and after low tide. This way can include walking on big boulders and uneven stones around the point between Morfa Bychan and Marros beach. On Marros beach head to waymark point W2, where you join the footpath. This way is physical but repays with the scenery of many rock pools, caves, various birds,and occasional seal.Good footwear essential.
3)Parking at Marros church: follow the intermittently surfaced lane until you reach the public footpath marked by a yellow arrow. Follow this zig-zag coastal path down to the beach. On Marros beach head to waymark point W2, where you join the footpath.
