Pineshore 1

Enjoy an easy and pleasant hike north from the Peter Iredale (pictured above) on a trail through the dunes of Ft. Stevens.
Park at the Peter Iredale ("Shipwreck") parking area, then walk east 700 feet to the DeLaura Dune Trailhead - the dirt/sand trail and NOT the paved trail. A trailhead waypoint is included in the listing.
The dunes are covered with shore pines, thus the name.
It's an easy hike to the four Pineshore caches, and likely much less crowded than many trails in the area. At Pineshore 4, you will have the option of dropping down to the beach for a great little round-trip hike.
A good trail for dogs, but since cars are allowed on the beach, it's best to keep a leash handy.
Don't forget to make a note of the clues on the cache log. You will need them to solve The Atoz Sequence!
