Geocache Description:

Multi-cache tracing the steps of Indiana, PA native and movie star Jimmy Stewart. Finial stage is a 50 cal. Ammo box.

This is a Multi-cache that I’ve thought about doing for years. Only problem is, I personally don’t like Multi-caches but some do. No puzzles or math to do. I’ve waypointed some “Jimmy” spots around town simply for your enjoyment. Do as many or as little as you want. “Have it your way”.

Stage One – the posted coordinates take you to the birth place of James Maitland Stewart, born May 20, 1908. You should find a placard commemorating the place.

Stage Two – N 40 37.483, W 079 09.201 – AKA, 104 North 7th Street - This was the boyhood home of Jimmy, now a private residence. Jimmy's family bought this home when he was 5 years old. As you can see, Jimmy came from proud beginnings.

Stage Three – N 40 37.371, W 079 09.291 – “The Big Warehouse” – The Stewart Family owned and operated a hardware store at this location. One of Jimmy’s Oscars was once displayed here by his father. There is a brand, spankin’ new historic plac commemorating the store. Be sure to look for this plac.

Stage Four – N 40 37.390, W 079 09.341 – Almost directly across the street from stage three, you will find the Jimmy Stewart Museum. People come from all over the world to visit here. There is an impressive collection of Jimmy Stewart memorabilia here including his movies.

Stage Five – N 40 37.205, W 079 09.072 – Here is located the remains of the Stewart Hardware. You may remember seeing this in the picture on the historic plac back at stage three.

Stage Six – N 40 38.305, W 079 09.955 – Final hiding spot. Nothing historic about this spot. Just a spot close to town were I could hide a 50 cal ammo box.

This concludes the Jimmy Stewart tour. Hope you have enjoyed yourself!
