Do you have what it takes to make your way to Lummerland?
If so, be my guest!
Three palms, one hill, all mine
Lummerland, pearl of the Koh Samui archipelago, lies off the east coast of Koh Phangan, halfway between Than Sadet and Thong Nai Pan Yai.
Believed to have been previously unclaimed, Lummerland was appropriated by King Trueff I. in 2004. This cache commemorates the 8th year of his wise and gracious reign.
See the gallery for some pictures of the island's beautiful landscape.
Access
The recommended approach is renting a sea cayak from Thong Nai Pan or Than Sadet, and anchoring in canister bay on the north shore, the island's only sand beach.
Alternatively you might convince a taxi boat captain to drop you off in swimming distance and wait for your return.
Some sharp rocks and cutting grass involved. You might want to have better footwear than flip-flops.
Population and Citizenship
Lummerland is not permanently inhabited, execpt for weird things smaller than my thumbnail and geckos. Citizenship is granted by gracious King Trueff I. from time to time. Applications can be left in the (physical, on-location) log book.
Small note on cache maintenance: There is a local cache guardian, whose name and contact info are on file with geocaching.com.
