The VanDucks: The cache's orginal location in an out of the way part of the park is now covered in large cut up logs from many trees that have been cut down, thick piles of leaves, and sticker bushes. The previous coordinates are no longer suitable for placing a cache.

Geocache Description:

Located in Bruin Park, Herndon, VA 20170. This park is administered by the Town of Herndon and by the Fairfax County Park Authority. Available during daylight hours only; park closes at dark.


PARKING is available at the park entrance on Van Buren Street; follow the driveway in to the parking lot. The park contains a playground, picnic shelter, tennis courts, and a baseball field. The difficulty level is due to the frequent presence of muggles in the area; you will need to be very discreet in finding the cache container. The cache is a camo'd plastic box about 3x4 inches. It contains a log but has no room for a pen so please bring your own. There is probably room for a few geocoins but not for most travel bugs; if you want to place a TB check out our other nearby caches. Please be sure the cache is well hidden when you replace it. DO NOT search along fence line. This cache was placed with the permission of both the Fairfax County Park Authority and the Herndon Department of Parks and Recreation. Have fun!
