For the outdoor enthusiasts, the Goat Mountain Cache was placed for the hike and the view!
Goat Mountain is the home of several Big Horn Sheep, please be respectful of their solace as you share in the beauty of their scenery. Plan 2.5 to 3.5 hrs to ascend, 2 hrs to descend, and treat the weather as though you were climbing a 13er...you will be exposed. Plan your route carefully and when in doubt, go up. Select your route to minimize environmental impact. Several access points may be in revegetation areas, these are not options, there are better ways in (see the spoiler if unsure), so choose appropriately. Park at Waterton Canyon parking lot. Do not seek this cache from the West as you will end up infringing on private property. Cache is a blue rectangular tupperware container.
