To complete this cache you will either need a compatible GPS or a smartphone with a Wherigo player application installed. Search in your app store to find one!
You then need to go to this cache's page at wherigo.com and log in using your geocaching.com credentials to download the "cartridge" - this is the program that gives the details for this cache. Unless you know differently you should probably choose to download the "Pocket PC" version. Place this in the correct folder on your device (you may need to read some instructions for your device or application to work out where this is) and then you'll be ready to go.
You will travel through nine zones that represent the sun and the 8 planets in the solar system and it will give some little facts at each stage. It should also give you and idea of how close we are to our neighbouring planets and just how wide the spread is between the big gas giants on the edge of our solar system.
When you've visited all of the zones it will give you the location of the final cache container.
Remember to save frequently as you go!
This Wherigo is designed for pedestrians and cyclists. If you walk then the number 22 bus will bring you back to Newcastle from the stop at N54 57.779 W001 39.109. The timetable can be retrieved from here.
This Wherigo has been tested on the WhereYouGo app on Android and the Wherigo app on iPhone (thanks very much to Phil100 and Jesmond Lynam)...hopefully it's all OK, please send me a message if you're having trouble!
