There is no need to be at the hospital to solve this but in the same way it helped me pass the time in Emergency Department (ED) to create this puzzle. Box is not on site to find. There is one of these for each of the three Leicester Hospitals. Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital & Glenfield General Hospital
This is a logic puzzle. 4 people arrived into ED in the early hours of the morning. Each presented by a different method, for a different reason and treated in a different bay, using the clue below can you work out who was who. It may be helpful to draw out the grid, I am going to attempt to upload one but proving a challenge from this device
Patients: Adam, Beth, Chris, Dina
Complaint: Broken Bone, Chest Pain, Tummy Pain, Urinary Retention
Arrival Method: Ambulance, Car, Taxi, Walk
Bay Number: 3, 5, 6, 9
1. Chris was very grateful to the paramedics who brought him to the ED
2. Dina, who had been in urinary retention for 28 long hours when she was put in a bag with a larger number on it then Adam
3. The triage nurse was surprised that the patient with severe chest pain had walked to the ED by themselves
4. Beth had a friend drive her by car to the ED as her tummy pain was highly distracting. She was quickly settled into a bay with a smaller number on it then Adam
5. The patient brought in by taxi had a long wait before being taken to the bay with the largest number of the 4 patients
6. The broken bone was patched up in the smallest bay number
