Hey gang, it's that time of again! No, no, not time to bust pepper trees but time for us to give back to Brevard County Parks and Recreation for allowing us to place caches throughout the county in all of their parks. Our mission for this event is as follows: We will not only be cleaning up the shoreline and park area of all the trash left behind by the careless and thoughtless but we will also be picking up a lot of branches and palm fronds that have blown around. There is plenty of work to be done in this tiny little park. We will be cleaning up both the North and South sides of the park this time. Last two times we hauled out over 2,000 lbs of trash and debris from this well visited park. Our presence here DOES make an impact. Let's set a goal and top that total this time!

This event will start at 8:00 am and go until about 11:00 on Saturday morning. We are starting at 8:00 am trying to beat some of the heat. Bring gloves and grabbers if you want them. We will supply cold water and some grabbers that will be provided by Keep Brevard Beautiful, as well as garbage bags. The county will provide a dump truck for us to fill up.

Intracoastal Waterway Park, Hwy 520 Causeway at the Hubert Humphrey Bridge, Merritt Island FROM US Hwy 1 at SR-520, go east 0.7 miles just over the Humbert Humphrey Bridge. Turn back to the SR-520 westbound lane. The park entrance is on the westbound lane and the exit is on the eastbound lane.

We have made arrangements with the county to host these events in a different park for the rest of year. Our hope is for someone to host a CITO each month throughout 2012 and show the parks department our appreciation. So come on out and support our efforts.
