A Cautionary Tale Mystery Cache
Bridge of Size: After what seems like forever, the pub sign has gone; in fact
the pub has now been demolished. Let's hope it's not another
2 years before the apartments are finished, or occupied even.
I think this one has had its turn.
I'll aim to place another one close by if someone else doesn't get
to fill the slot first.

A CAUTIONARY TALE
“Shall we go for a pint then?”
“Yeh! Usual establishment?”
“Haven’t you heard? It’s all boarded up and everything.***
I’ll meet you in that one down near that road, you know that
musical bloke… funny middle name. Did you know he died
rescuing a lady from drowning?
“No. I did not know that.”
“Anyway. Seven o’clock?”
“See you then….”
Fast forward.
It’s 9pm.
“I’m off. How about you?”
“I’ll stay for another I reckon….”
A few pints later…..
You stagger out about half ten.
“Uh! Could’ve sworn there was a pond opposite.”
Undaunted, you turn for home.
“Seems to be taking longer than usual,” you muse.
“What happened to the kebab shop?”
You shrug your shoulders and stumble on.
Five minutes later you stare into the distance.
“Isn’t that the Wembley roof?”, you say aloud.
“Wonder who’s playing.”
You stop.
“Oops!”
Turning half-circle you carry on, a little more hurriedly now.
Suddenly you trip and go flying; your keys land nearby.
You reach underneath to get them and something catches your eye.
“Ooh look! It’s a nano-cache.”
You pass out.
Next thing you know there’s your mate stood at the
end of your bed armed with a magazine and a bunch of grapes.
“Nasty concussion,” he grins.
“Yeh! I’m giving up booze. I think I’ll take up geocaching instead!”
