Traveler Hotel

Finden unter den Linden ;-)
Dieses Hotel soll allen Reisenden als Unterkunft dienen.
Das Tor zum Schwarzwald und der Schwäbischen Alb

  "Die mittelalterliche Allee stellt ein landesweit einzigartiges Kulturdenkmal dar"

 In der Lindenallee kommenstreng geschützte Fledermäuse vor, die die Allee als Jagdrevierund Wohnquartier benutzen. Auch eine ganze Reihe gefährdeter und geschützter Käferarten wurde nachgewiesen. Diese Käfer sind auf Totholz an alten, starken Bäumen angewiesen.

Zu Zeiten Herzog Ulrichs von Württemberg (Regierungszeit 1498 - 1550, gestorben und begraben in Tübingen), der sich gerne und viel in Tübingen aufhielt, erbauten im Jahre 1508 Stadt und Land gemeinsam den "Hirschauer Steg", an dessen Stelle 1896 die Alleenbrücke trat - nach der Sprengung am Ende des zweiten Weltkrieges 1953 wieder aufgebaut.
Zur gleichen Zeit (1508) schenkte die Stadt der Universität - sozusagen zur Verschönerung des Zugangs zu den Universitätsgebäuden rund um die Stiftskirche aus westlicher Richtung - die Anpflanzung der Lindenallee vom Hirschauer Steg bis zur Gemarkungsgrenze nach Weilheim.
