The container is a small ammo can. It is located in the Forwell Creek/Lackner Woods area of Kitchener. There is parking at the side of the road on Knollwood St or Dunnigan Dr. The entrance is behind the Dead End sign at N 43.27.929 W 80.26.002. Bus routes 1, 15 and 17 also go through the area. Cyclists can also enter via the community trail beside the donut purchasing location at Lackner and Victoria.
Here's the tale on this one. I noticed that TrimblesTrek posted something in the log for T54 Where Are You? that
ammo cans were available at the nearby surplus store. While I hadn't planned on placing anything in the near future, it did inspire me to go out and place one to honour the change in my user name. So, I was on my way to the area, when I noticed a bike trail I didn't remember, since it had been a while since I was in the area. It led me to this area, where I placed the cache.
The cache is somewhat close to a trail, but I didn't see anybody there each of my trips through. A little bit of
stealth could be needed.
If anybody knows of other (preferably better) parking locations let me know.
