Geocache Description:

Easy find along the West Fork San Gabriel River

The rainbow trout is one of four native trout in this river. The Rainbow Trout handicapped fishing platform is about another .5 mile up the road. This area seemed a bit more cache friendly, though. A nice gated paved road winds along this river. Walk it... bike it... bring your fishin' pole! Fishin' in the river is all catch and release with the use of barbless artificial lures. Busy place on weekends, so be stealty when nabbing and replacing cache. Cache is geofied for easy finding. Afterall, it's about enjoying the outdoors... with a bonus of a cache find. Be sure to get the other caches along the trail too! Cache is green, tubular, about 6 inches long and has a 3 inch diameter opening. Directions: Take highway 39 passed the turnoff to the East San Gabriel river. Continue passed the OHV area and the large dirt turnout on the right with a restroom. Park in the small paved parking lot on the left, just before the bridge that crosses the West Fork.
