Placed with permission. This mystery will give you a short tour of Caledonia, Warren Harding's childhood home. The posted coords will bring you to historic marker #2-51. You may park in the church parking lot across the street to gather some information from several nearby sites to determine where the cache is hidden. At the bell in front of the church (which first called the pioneers to worship in 183Z) N = the number of the month it was dedicated (in1998). The plaque (nearby) on the church shows this building was entered into the National Register of Historic places: from this plaque what is the first and last digit of the year the church was founded? = XY Now walk north (from posted coords) to the village square about 460ft. There (stage 3) you will find a Veterans Memorial. M = How many Vietnam Vets have name plates at this site?

An advanced student, Harding earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1882 at the age of 17. He was known as an accomplished cornet player while in school, and also edited the school's newspaper.
After college, Harding raised money to purchase a newspaper in Marion, Ohio, which he built into a successful publication, respected state-wide. The Marion Daily Star is still published to this day (as the Marion Star).
