Geocache Description:

The cache has been placed on a public right of way within the grounds of Hanbury Park. The car park at Hanbury Hall is free for National Trust members. A free public parking spot is at Hanbury Church or at Piper's Hill car park, on B4091 between Stoke Works and Hanbury. From here it is a very pleasant 45 min. (approx.) walk to the cache site.

This cache is placed in honour of ‘Bill’, a lovely gentleman whom I met when walking here one day. He explained that he frequently walks in the grounds of Hanbury Hall, and always stops in this spot to take a rest and enjoy the view. Indeed, it is such a special spot that Bill has made a metal sign and nailed it to the tree upon which he sits, hence the name of the cache! A picture of Bill sitting on his special seat can be found inside the lid of the cache.

The cache contains a logbook, pen and pencil and a few swapable items. Some stealth may be needed as this is popular with many people of all ages, especially in the Summer when the park becomes popular with National Trust members visiting Hanbury Hall.

Cache placed with kind permission by the National Trust.
