Geocache Description:

This cache is big enough to hold only the log. BYOP.

Across the street of this cache at 75 and a half Bedford Street in Greenwich Village is the Narrowest Building in NYC. The space it occupies used to be an alley between the homes of building number 75 and building number 77 in Bedford Street. At 98 inches it is so narrow that most small sized cars are longer then the building's width
.

It was built in 1873 and is one of the most photographed homes in the neighborhood.

A plague located at the house notes that the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Edna St. Vincent Millay as well as the anthropologist Margaret Mead used to live there.
