Geocache Description:

**Short but difficult hike located in a park open sunrise to sunset**

Don and I came to this area to find another cache in the park and while we were doing some sightseeing of Lake Whitney something caught my eye from afar…A tiny black figure on the ground moving around…. As I got closer, I realized it was a baby kitten, very frail and mal-nourished, eating ants. Due to my love for cats, I immediately took the kitten home, fed her, gave her a bath, and gave her a warm place to stay over night. Seeing how I already have 2 cats, I had to find a home for “Rockie” ASAP. With some searching around I found a home for her the next day!

Feel free to bring cat food with you just in case you spot a kitten in the area!

There is a trail into the woods to the right of the concrete wall. Once you reach the fence look to your right and head towards the raised manhole cover. This area is very steep so use caution. Snow will certainly make this harder so extreme caution is to be used during the winter months.
