Geocache Description:

The cache is located just off the main trail that circles Lake Accotink. The main trail allows for a nice walk around the lake. On nice days, there can be many joggers, hikers and bicyclists enjoying the trail, so beware of muggles.

This cache is located just off the main trail that circles Lake Accotink. From the cache’s location you can see what looks like a field of posts. These posts have been placed to help establish different types of plants and trees. Please note, the cache is not located among the posts, so please do not harm the vegetation.

This is a traditional locking plastic container. Since the cache is close to the main trail, there beware of muggles.

This cache is hidden with the permission of the Fairfax County Park Authority. Geocachers must abide by all Park Authority rules, regulations and other restrictions. This specifically includes park access times. Unless posted otherwise, all Park Authority parks are open from Dawn to Dusk. Night Caching in Park Authority parks is expressly forbidden.

There are several places to park along the main trail. Parking near the main entrance will give you the option of enjoying all the park’s amenities—pedal boats, row boats, carousel, and mini-golf, before you hit the trails. Or, for a faster outing, you can park at N38 48.110 W077 14.096 (the end of Danbury Forest Drive) which puts you within ¼ mile of the cache.

A Blockbuster Video gift card of unknown value is in the cache for the first to find.
