08:15 meet in the pub car park for a 08:30 depart for the CacheWalker group walk
To coincide with the event a series of approx 20 caches will be released. The walk is approx 7 miles in length and goes across a variety of terrain, but there are no serious hills so it should be suitable for all. A couple of fields have sheep in them and there are a couple of dog proof stiles en route but nothing too high as my Collie managed to jump over them without too much trouble
At the time of setting there were a couple of muddy fields, which I managed in my walking boots. Wellingtons might be a good idea if it is especially wet to try and stay clean for the event afterwards.
Please bring a change of footwear
13:00 to 15:00ish The event - The Butchers Arms, Mickleton
The event will be held in the skittle alley which is through the main pub and head for the back room. Fellow CacheWalker Griff Groff has been busy organising entertainment for the event. There will be a quiz with a prize for the winner as well as a documentary being made (see below)
The Butchers Arms is only a small country pub so are going to struggle to do individual meals if more that 30ish turn up. I have agreed with the pub to keep things a bit simpler that they will put a choice of 4 meals for us to choose from. Please see logs below for details of the options, if you could update the cache page to let me know how many are attending the event. You can let me know on the day what you want to eat.
Other Stuff
For all you cachers that yearn to be a Hollywood star; Griff Grof, a fellow CacheWalker, will be filming the event and making a documentary. This video will be made available on the famous Griff Grof blog which is always worth a read. Hopefuly he will be interviewing fellow cachers as well as filming the walk; I am sure this will make a fun addition to the day and something to look back on in the future.
STOP PRESS - Griff is making a few limited edition DVD's of the event with some extra special features. These will only be available to those who attend the event. Please e-mail Griff Grof to order your copy. As at 22nd Jan there are 3 copies remaining
