Geocache Description:

Cache is near ground level. DO NOT CLIMB ON THIS MONUMENT!

Cache is a 7.62 ammo can. Each ammo can was designed to hold 200 rounds. The basic load carried in this vehicle was 6000 rounds of 7.62 or 30 of these ammo cans. It also carried 900 rounds of .50 cal ammo, and 63 rounds for the 105mm cannon.

This cache is near a vehicle that once was assigned to A Co 1-246 Armor MI ARNG. This units armory was in Three Rivers and this vehicle was maintained at Ft. Custer in Battle Creek. To learn more about the M60A1Rise/Passive visit (visit link)
