Pedestal Rock and Kings Bluff or two trail walks each about 2 miles
round trip with many cliffs and caves and unusual rock formations.
<
Most of the trails are level and easy walking This can take all day
because there is so much exploring that is just irresistible, so
bring a picnic lunch. Updated 03-18-06 This cache is a one gallon
plastic jug with lid. Contains a log book, ink pen, two pencils and
pencil sharpener, Tic-tacs, gum, army jeeps, grip clip, protector
pop, lighter, deer picture, a little spirit of encouragement to
read the Bible. Please replace the jug all the way under rock so it
will not roll down the hill. This cache is in a very scenic place
you will want to take some time here. We found two bandits hiding
in one of the caves with a big fire, cooking supper. You will find
the remains of their hide out just above the cache and a little to
the right. There must be 10 or 12 large pedestals and 15 or so
caves. Some of them inter connected and easy access. A great place
for kids to explore. It's like 1/2 mile of the most unusual bluffs
60 to 100 feet high so you have to have time to check out the top
of the bluff and the bottom also for 1/2 mile. The main attraction
pedistal is on the east end of the bluff located at N35*42.692 -
W093*01.160 The biggest pedestal is 80 feet tall lacated at
N35*42.621 - West 093*01.226 There is also a pedestal west of the
steps located at N35*42.642 - W093*01.349 If your wondering how to
get below the bluff there are steps located at N35*42.624 -
W093*01.309
