Après les thermes de Digne les bains, poursuivre la route R.D. 20 sur un petit kilomètre. Le parking se trouve à droite après une courbe à gauche. La chapelle St Pancrace est accessible depuis une piste forestière puis un sentier propre et balisé. Au premier tiers du parcourt, vous aurez aussi l'occasion de visiter l'un des refuges d'art de la région. Prévoir une petite heure de marche jusqu'à la chapelle avec quelques montées soutenues dans la garrigue.
Perchée à près de 900 mètres d'altitude au dessus de la ville de Digne les Bains et de la vallée des Eaux Chaudes, cette chapelle et son pèlerinage remontent au XVIIe siècle. Elle a été restaurée en 1999 par la ville et l'association "Les rénovateurs de St Pancrace". Arrivés sur les lieux, prenez le temps d'admirer et de visiter les lieux. Une table d'orientation vous fera découvrir les montagnes environnantes. Plusieurs tables en bois sont installées pour le pique-nique. A l'intérieur de la chapelle, avec un euro, vous bénéficierez d'une animation sonore fort sympathique. N'hésitez pas à donner quelques coups de cloche ! Passé l'édifice, une allée vous conduira jusqu'à une magnifique croix avec une vue plongeant sur la ville. Malgré les barrières et protections, nous recommandons une surveillance particulière des plus jeunes enfants.________________________________________________________________________________
