It’s a short hike from parking to an overlook and this cache.
I was out in Malibu Creek State Park recently and spotted this location that was just begging for a cache. So now it has one. From this overlook you can see the eastern end of the park, visitors center, rock pool and more. It’s only about .25 miles from the parking spot. Not quite a park ‘n grab. You will encounter a couple of man-made obstacles along the way, but you can get around them easily.
There is ample, convenient parking at N34 06.261 W118 43.604. There is a good trail all the way to the cache. No bushwhacking required. The cache container is a camo’ed, plastic nut container. The GPS readings at the precise cache location will not be good because of the tree cover, but the hiding place is obvious.
