A FUN FILLED DAY OF EXCITEMENT
8:00 AM - Kick off. Event registration begins.
8:00 AM - 9:00 - Amazing Race Sign In - you will be able to sign in later if needed.
9:00 AM - Amazing Race - 1st team starts
The Amazing Race - 15 teams will be allowed this year - 4-5 people per team/1 car load. Start times will be based on when you sign in your team in the morning. Race should last between 1 1/2 hours - 2 hours. We have special prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams this year. If you would like to participate please put a team together and message me with your team name.
11:30 AM - 1:30 PM - Lunch at Rec Hall (included in dinner meal ticket purchase).
Lunch will include subs/sandwiches, chips and water.
5:00 PM - Dinner will be offered this year with the purchase of a meal ticket.
Dinner will include hamburgers (beef and veggie), hot dogs (both beef and turkey), salad, corn, baked beans, and dessert.
Meal Tickets - Please try to purchase before September 16th. This way we will know how much we need to purchase as we are providing the food, however meal tickets will be available the week of and the day of the event. $5 each per serving and includes 1 serving for lunch as well as dinner, 13 years and older. Additional servings will be $2.50 each
6:00 PM - Raffle. We have some awesome prizes this year! Tickets will be available throughout the day and the drawing itself will take place after dinner.
OTHER EVENTS:
Campfire Circle (Friday 7 PM at Campfire Circle within the campground) & Amazing Race @ Night.
CITO (Sunday 8:30 AM) - We will meet near the CCC Museum, hand out supplies and directions.
- Highlands Hammock State Park has plenty of camping options! Just be sure to make your reservations soon! If you reserve a campsite feel free to post your campsite number here. If camping isn't for you, there are a number of wonderful hotels in the area!
- We will need numerous volunteers from 8 - 11 AM for registration, TB Table, etc. We will also need numerous volunteers to help with a few stages of the Amazing Race - 2-3 hours each.
- Pets are allowed in the park and camping. However, they are NOT allowed on boardwalks (this is a park rule and prevents Rover from becoming gator-bait)
- We will have ice cold water available throughout the day at the Rec Hall. Please bring your own re-usable container.
