Geocache Description:

The cache is in a Roman quarry a few hundred metres away from the main road above the village of Splitska.

In the village Splitska there is a bay which in Roman times was used as a port for loading stone blocks from quarries Rasohe, Plate and Zastražišce located above the bay. One of the most famous buildings built with these stones is the Palace of Diocletian in Split.

Rasohe quarry is the closest to Splitska among the three and is only a few hundred meters off the main road above it. In it one of the stone walls has relief of mythological hero Heracles who impersonates physical strength and strong human will. The easiest way to notice it is to look roght from the information panel on the subject: there is a red arrow on the ground pointing upwards right at it.

The cache is hidden near the relief. The parking place coordinates are in the bay of Splitska. Well maintained road signs show directions to the quarry.
