Geocache Description:

An easy P&G with lots of parking at a very pretty spot along SR14

Part of my station location series along the old SP&S Railroad now merged into the BNSF Railroad system. Cache is located at the point that Alder Creek flows into the Columbia River. There is a marshy area with lots of wildlife nearby. Golgotha Butte is the hill to the North East. Alderdale was a station location on the SP&S Railroad which was located south of the current railroad tracks. The site is now underwater in the John Day Pool.
