“Anderson Viewpoint” Cache is a beautiful spot atop a mountain peak, which allows 360 degree viewing of the area. There are two ways to find “Anderson Viewpoint” Cache, both are great wilderness trails so bring your hiking boots and your dog.
A lower hiking/motorcycle trail climbs up then along a ridge and finally pops out near the cache location. This route is a better choice for hikers wishing to get off the beaten track, who aren’t afraid of a strenuous hike. The trail can be accessed off the main road starting at N42º12.834 W122º53.558 and climbing upward.
The less strenuous but equally rewarding upper trail begins at the top of a rock quarry and can be driven in only the most capable 4x4 vehicles. It can also be taken by motorcycle/ATV or on foot. The upper trail begins at the top of the rock quarry at N42º11.748 W122º53.532
The cache has been changed to a green ammo can. The contents started with some unusual coins, a small model airplane, a travel bug, and a disposable camera. It now contains many items as well as a new camera each year. Please take a photo and look for it posted below! Checking out the hint is a good idea.
