After the Kayak on Canning series it was time to move to a different area, so I chose this less popular but beautiful section of the Swan River. This part of the river is meandering amongst vineyards providing a quiet habitat for plenty of birds and other wild animals. The landscape is always changing, high banks, fallen trees, farms and a bit further up some sandbars are making the paddle even more enjoyable. Take care as there are lots of fallen trees and underwater logs which may cause frightening moments.
The containers are attached to the hiding objects with a short fishing line in order to prevent them from going missing. All caches in this series are accessible while sitting on/in the kayak (even with longer kayaks as I was using a surf ski when hiding).
The cache is a small camouflaged tube containing a waterproof log and a pencil.
