This cache has been archived.

LZ33: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

On your way to the final stop of this multi-cache you’ll find a few interesting places we hope you’ll enjoy. The hunt begins in the town of Young Harris, GA, and ends up at the cache site a few miles away. Allow yourself at least an hour, plus any sightseeing time.

My brother and I are in this area frequently to visit our parents. We love this part of the state, and thought it could use another cache.
Okay! Enough chitchat. It’s time to proceed directly to the First Stop.

FIRST STOP:
(See coordinates above)

The coordinates at the top of this page will take you to a pleasant little corner of the Young Harris College campus. The students have always called this “Cupid Falls” because it’s a nice romantic place to bring a date. It’s also a lovely spot to sit and read a book, enjoy a picnic, or just hang out and enjoy some nature. The metal monument there contains a four-digit number: “ABCD.” When you’re done eating, reading, hanging out or, um, “being romantic,” apply the digits to the Second Stop coordinates.

SECOND STOP:
N 34 56.AC4
W 83 50.CB7

You’ll now find yourself at an equally charming spot in town. Specifically, right on top of another iron plaque, which also happens to provide some useful numbers: EFGH – IJKL. (Recognize that name at the top of the third column?) Plug in your new numbers for the Final Stop.

FINAL STOP:
N 34 L2.JKH
W 83 H2.67L

These are the coordinates for the hidden cache. If you’ve done the substitutions correctly you’ll find that it’s about a four-mile drive from the second stop. After you park and start walking to the cache you’ll probably run across some VERY old logbooks (you’ll understand when you get there).

UPDATE 7-6-04:

The cache originally contained a disposable camera. To mark the first anniversary of our cache, we've developed the pictures and posted them online for everyone to see.
