You can find the cache in the hillside of the bronze-age ruined earth castle

Tiszaalpár village is situated on Great Hungarian Plane, near the „Deceased Tisza” (Holt-Tisza) it is a reach of Tisza river lopped off in the course of the control of the extremely meandering Tisza.
The historical inheritance of this village is very multifold one.
1. Bronze age. Here lived the nation of Vatya-culture more than 3000 years ago. The ruins of their earth-castle is a memorial place supplied with demonstration boards: N46° 49,506’ E19° 59,451’. You can observe from this place the flood area of Holt-Tisza with incredible rich avifauna.
2. The Hungarian Reconquest A.D. 896. The flat ground you can see from earth-castle plateau is the spot of one of the biggest battle in the course of the Hungarian Reconquest. Army of Árpád king defeated Zalán the Bulgarian king and occupied the whole centre of Carpathian basin.
3. Reconstruction of a village from the age of the Árpáds. N46° 49,528’ E19° 59,323’. This little skanzen shows the life of the 10th century Hungarian peasants. Opening hours: from April 01. to October 31. 10-17h, except of Mondays. In case it is closed, you can see the little skanzen from outside from the hill of the Roman Catholic Church.
