These old stone walls use to be common. But now are not as easy to find.
The wall must be dry laid stone. This means no mortar was used. When you check for this there will be no mortar between the stones. They were built this way to allow the stones to expand with the freezing of winter and then settle back with the thaw.
To log it:
1. Find an example of one of these walls.
2. Upload a picture of it with your GPSr.
3. Log the coords.
4. Tell us of the nearest town and state.
Sorry, but non complying logs will be deleted.
Only one log per finder and only one log per wall.
