The Oomae Station is the terminal station of the Agatsuma Line. There are two terminal stations (the Yokogawa Station of the Shinetsu Line, the Shimonita Station of the Jyoushin-Dentetsu ) in Gunma-pref. and they extend to the west from the center of Gunma pref.. And the Oomae Station is located in the most western place in these stations. The section among the Shibukawa Station and the Naganohara Station was constructed with rush work to transport iron ore for military demand in wartime and completed in January 1945 as the Naganohara-line. This line was gradually extended as a passenger business and the section among the Naganohara Station and the Oomae Station started a business in March 1971, too and all of this line was renamed to the Agatsuma Line.
Along the Agatsuma Line, there are much excellent hot waters which is Ikaho, Shima, Kawarayu, Kusatsu, Manza, Shikasawa and etc.. Therefore a few direct limited expresses are operated to the Agatsuma Line from Ueno Station. However only 5 round trips of local train are operated at the Oomae Station, because most trains turns buck at the Manza-Kazawaguchi Station. The container of the cache is established on the platform. Please look for it without some preconceptions. It should be found immediately.
大前駅はJR吾妻線の終着駅です。群馬県にはその他に二つの終着駅（信越本線横川駅、上信電鉄下仁田駅）があり、いずれも群馬県中心部より西進していますが、この中で大前駅は最西端の駅になります。
吾妻線の渋川駅から長野原駅までの区間は、戦時中、六合（くに）村元山の鉱山から軍需用の鉄鉱石を輸送するため突貫工事で造られ、昭和20年1月に長野原線として完成しました。その後は旅客用として、徐々に延伸され、昭和46年3月には長野原駅、大前駅間も開業し、吾妻線と改称されました。
吾妻線の沿線には、伊香保・四万・川原湯・草津･万座・鹿沢などを始め、更には沢渡・大塚・たんげ・川中・松の湯・薬師・温川・鳩の湯・花敷・応徳・尻焼・半出来・嬬恋等々、数え切れないほどの名湯があります。その為、吾妻線では上野駅から直通の特急が運行されています。しかし、殆どの列車がひとつ手前の万座・鹿沢口駅で折り返してしまうため、大前駅には普通列車が5往復運行されるのみとなっています。
いっその事、吾妻線を「吾妻温泉線」、各駅を「○○温泉駅」と改称したら面白いですね。
キャシュのコンテナは駅のプラットホーム上にどーんと鎮座しています。先入観を捨てて探してください。直ぐに見つかるはずです。「木を見て森を見ず」は駄目ですよ。
