Geocache Description:

This is the 5th cache in the walkies trail which follows the route from lutterworth to Walcote. It is a lovely walk through beautiful countryside and is highly recommended for geocachers with children as It is a nice easy route which ends at a park.</

As you walk through the field from #4, keep your eye on the sky as there are some buzzards which nest nearby and can often be seen circling above. The village of misterton was in the fields around the church,  but vanished around 1507. The village may have been quite large, suggested by the size of the parish church. St Leonard's dates back to 1200, but much of the building dates back to the 14th century. If the doors are open, it's worth liking in to see the beautiful stained glass windows. As there may be muggles around, I have placed this in an inconspicuous place  where you may want to sit and rest.

There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
