Geocache Description:

*******This cache is gone*********** After a run of 12 years this cache is now missing. It was last found on 7/22/2013. It was one of the first "geocache" in the Tahoe area and is still worth going to, if only for the view. It was the only cache I ever created and I'd like to thank all the people who took the time to visit it. Maybe I'll look into this virtual cache stuff and resurrected it as a virtual cache. Posted 7/2/2014 TheMorg

The cache is located off of Spooner Pass, above Spooner Lake, elevation 7580'. It's about 1 mile from the road. The last 100 yards are fairly steep, so bring decent shoes (not sandals). The cache is a medium tupperware container (about 8 inches by 8 inches). It contains: a travel toothbrush/paste, a robotic puppy, an 18 function knife, a fishing lure, a pencil sharpener, a silent dog whistle, a set of dice and some cord locks. It also contains a note book, pen and pencil.

Bringing water would be helpful. You can get more hints below, but I should say that the cache is located in the dead trees, not in the boulders. The hint below is very helpful. If you don't read it here, you may want to take it with you (you never know). The photos leave nothing to the imagination, they'll point you right to the spot. Good Hunting.

Don't forget to enjoy the view when you get there. You deserve it!

*****Update July 29,2001

Revisted the cache, still looks OK. There are signs of a trail being created leading to the cache! We may have to do something about that, if the winter doesn't take care of it. We added a few more items to make things a little more interesting. We added a flashlite, that always stays on. I tried to fix it, but couldn't, maybe you can. In honor of "Hot August Nights", we added some black and pink fuzzy dice. Also a lantern keychain that works and last, but not least we added some Geo "Cash". Redeemable anywhere Geo "Cash" is used. Have Fun!
