Dr. Hamel was the chairman of the music department at Andrews University for many years. The music building – by which this cache is located – was named in his honor. Geocachers who find this cache are encouraged to email him of their find at phamel@andrews.edu. This cache was placed in August of 2009 in honor of Dr. Hamel who was, at that time, celebrating his 90th birthday. Now it is 2011 and he has celebrated his 92nd. (He is now, 100 (2020.)
