This cache is located in a Waukesha County Park so a entrance fee
is required. It is not possible to reach the cache from the
neighboring subdivision, you must use the park trail. In the summer
there is a family camping area, beach for swimming with beach house
for changing, bathrooms and a concession stand for hot dogs and ice
cream treats. There are trails for hiking and horse back riding so
you can easily make a full day of it with your family. Enjoy a
picnic lunch in one of the many free picnic table and shelter
areas. If you need a place for a celebration or picnic they have
three picnic shelters and two picnic pavillions for rent. This is
one of our favorite places to camp but there are no hook up for
water or electric though.
In the winter the trails are expertly groomed for cross country
sking so HIKING IS NOT ALLOWED on the trails.
Now for the cache!! It is re-hidden off of the trails. As you
reach the farm junk let your GPSr settle. It is very close so you
need to be looking out while you enter and log. My son made a
little shelter between several trees in one. PLEASE ENTER FROM THE
BACK AWAY FROM THE TRAIL!! It is chained so it will not be lost to
muggles. Lots of goodies for the kids to trade.
Good Luck and Thank You for your visit!! The Rangers of the park
asked that no one go in after dark. The park is closed at 10:00 pm
so even if you are camping you need to be at your site. Thank
You!!
Permission for cache was granted when we adopted it by Waukesha
