The Tree Circus was opened here in 1947, featuring trees grafted and trained in strange and unusual shapes. Bright "life size" painted dinosaurs overlooking Highway 17 were added to the Tree Circus in 1964 when it changed its name to The Lost World.
One of two remaining Lost World trees
In 1985 Michael Bonfante bought the trees for his Bonfante Gardens (now Gilroy Gardens) and moved all but two of the trees to Gilroy. This cache is a magnetic key holder and is too small to leave items. Please bring your own pencil to sign the log.
