Geocache Description:

This cache will take you on a tour of historical Mt. Pleasant Ohio.  Seemingly bypassed by the modern world, this small village has a rich history in the anti-slavery movement, the underground railroad, and religious freedom.

The listed starting co-ordinates will take you to the the first stop on your tour of historic Mt. Pleasant, Ohio.  At GZ you should see the Harris-Bone store, the oldest standing building in Mt. Pleasant.  Across the street will be the Free Labor Store/Benjamin Lundy Home.  Navigating towards the town square will take you past the Elizabeth House.  At the town square you will see the museum.  Also there is the town bell, and a small memorial at the square between the museum and the bank.  Navigating through the square you will see the Burris store and Hogg Mansion.  From there you will need to find the Quaker Meeting House.  There are many signs in town to help you find it.  It is the only stop not on the main road through town.

While visiting these sites, you will need to gather information (numbers) from what you see.  These numbers will give you the co-ordinates of a puzzle that you will then need to solve.  Correct assembly of the puzzle will give you a tool to assist in retrieving the actual cache container.

The Mt. Pleasant Historical Society offers official tours throughout the year.  More information can be found on their Facebook page.  Some of the listed sites and many others are listed as waymarks.  This tour can be completed either by driving or walking from place to place.  You decide.

FTF gets a Mt.Pleasant magnet if you like. Room for some small trade items. Bring your own writing tool and please place the tool back where you found it and cover it up so it doesn't get muggled by accident. Forgot to add these two items to the original listing. Added 5/14/14. Congrats to D2 for FTF.
