The first Central Oklahoma Geocachers gathering of 2017 will be at Johnnie's Charcoal Broiler in Edmond. Everyone is invited to come eat lunch and enjoy the company of cachin' friends. If you haven't been to a COG gathering in awhile (or ever!), we'd love to see you!
Date: Please note this is THIRD Saturday of January (not our usual meeting date). Sorry, but the Little Gypsy made All-State Honor Choir, so we can't host on the normal weekend. We hope this allows some cachers to attend who usually can't!
Time: 11am ~ Johnnie's does not open until 11, so no need to be early unless you want to stand outside in the cold waiting for them to unlock the door.
Place: Johnnie's in Edmond ~ east of Broadway Extension on 33rd. St. Address is 33 E. 33rd.
Come on in and go through the line to place your order. Then proceed to the meeting room towards the back of the restaurant, where all the geo-fun-folks will be. The manager let us have the room for free, but asks that everyone eat (his exact words were, "and not just pie and coffee"). So please plan on having lunch, and I'm sure he'll be satisfied as we are going to have an awesome big group show up, right?!!
Besides burgers, Johnnie's has grilled sandwiches, soup, chili, etc. And pie!
LOOKING BACK & PLANNING FORWARD ~ Please come ready to share all the new states and/or countries you visited last year while geocaching. And any new goals in 2017 for places you want caching to take you!
Happy New Year to all our geocaching buddies!
