Geocache Description:

*Note - 1* - Soccer is over so we are moving the events back to Saturdays!

*Note - 2* - In the event of significant rain and / or flooding prior to event Team 150% will make determination if lake level / river current is ok for paddling to event. Please keep watch on Event Page for Announcements.  Basically if there is any flooding the event will be cancelled.

See the website https://www.sanjacintorivercaching.org/ for full description of all caches in the San Jacinto River Basin and potential hazards when paddling to the event.

The 2.13 Annual?  Huh?  Team 150% you can't count!  Well we did the 1.75 Annual and the 2nd Annual.....it will be ~1.5 months since the 2nd Annual so the math works out to 2.125 however thats one to many characters in the title so I did a little rounding.

Event Time - 12:00 PM - Event to be held on sandbar near cache NLH 23E. This is a luscious tropical beach (ok its another white river sand bar courteous of Harvey). At the event I will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, and chips. Event will officially start at 12:00 PM but realistically its going to be happening from ~8:00 AM to ~ 1:00 PM as Team 150% will be setup on the sand bar watching everybody grab caches. All who make it to the sand bar, regardless of time, are welcome to log the event.

Round Trip Paddle Distance from BJs Marina to Event ~ 0.88 miles

Paddle Plan Prior To the Event
Prior to the event there will be a paddle to grab more of the caches in the area of the event. Participation in this paddle is not necessary to attend and log the event.

Note - Multiple new caches will be published prior to the event.  This will lend itself to making paddles as short as you want or up to 6.4 miles.

6:30 AM - Meet and launch from BJ's Marina. Somebody will be hosting a breakfast event that will publish at later date.  We are going to kick it off early in order to miss some of the heat.

Team 150% will meet the group at BJ's Marina in his boat.  He will remain in the vicinity of the paddlers for assistance in the event of injury or someone not being being able to complete the trip.  It is recommended all pack a full change of clothes plus towel in a dry bag in the event of a water dumping.  All other precautions listed on the San Jacinto River Caching page should also be reviewed.

Looking forward to a great paddle!
