Northern District Library is located mid-town Toronto at 40 Orchard View Boulevard. The library shares its building space with the Stanley Knowles Housing Cooperative, which is a non-profit housing space. The library was recently renovated in 2011.
The library has a self-check in system, a scanner and occasionally the upper floor will have art exhibits on display. There are three rooms designated for programs and community meetings in the branch: one on the main floor and two on the second. The library is also home to a significant North Toronto Local History Collection.
Paid metered parking is available under the building when the library is open, but the library is just a short walk north of Yonge Street and Eglinton Ave.
This is the second Northern District cache. The first became a victim of the renovation. Container is in a new location, all finders of the old Northern District cache are encouraged to return.
