Geocache Description:

Western Hermosa.

The cache is on the Hermosa Beach pier. Before you start out on the pier you'll be walking across the Seal for the city of Hermosa Beach done in grand scale. Also at the beginning of the pier is the statue sometimes referred to as “The Surfer”, dedicated to Tim Kelly as well as other men and women of the LACoFD Lifeguard Division. Along the pier you can read about some of the inductees of the Surfers Walk of Fame. Even when sunny southern CA isn't that sunny the surfers are still out. Public art by way of a large mural is on display as well.

Paid parking is available in a nearby lot, or a nearby parking structure, or at meters along the streets. On Hermosa Ave the meters are enforced 24 hours everyday. On 11th St west of Hermosa Ave. they're enforced 10am-midnight (no parking Tuesday 6am to 7am.) The posted pier hours are 6am to 10pm. BYOP.
